Maybe it stemmed from my parents regularly noticing the grammatical errors in my school papers while growing up...possibly it was Mr. Graves, my 11th-grade English teacher, who drove home the importance of saying exactly what you mean and employing economy of words...it could be I simply have the gene that makes one person notice mistakes when others don’t...or maybe it’s a combination of all three. The end result is that I formed Bock Editing with the belief that no one wants to sabotage the effectiveness of their written communications with spelling mistakes, poor grammar, or dangling participles. One thing I know for sure is that a person’s credibility—and ultimate success—can be severely harmed when grammatical blunders of any kind are introduced into a paper, inadvertent though they may be. I view it as my duty and mission to make sure this doesn’t happen to you.
As a former professional commercial actor and model for over 20 years, I developed skills that enabled me to present myself in both the best and most appropriate way for the audience I was addressing. It’s what I now strive to do for you with your writing.
